I'm alive!

Posted on 2015-01-22 by Bad Brett

Wow, it's been over a year. It's funny, the guys at TT-forums told me that I should ask for help - otherwise the project would never get finished. Because these large projects usually get abandoned. Not this time, I said to myself. Soon after that, I experience the worst time of my life. I couldn't do anything. I was so proud of this project, but I just couldn't care. Today I wish that I would have listened. But... I'm not giving up. I've been noticing that some you have been kind enough to buy me a beer. I appreciate that a lot, and I will add a special Thank You page here. Actually, the donations were one of the things that got me going again. Anyway... There have been some changes, and while they are not final, I'm again very excited about the project. Many people felt that the graphics were too dark, so I've re-rendered pretty much everything. I also decided to abandon the good 'ol OpenTTD 3ds Max template and decided to make a new with vray instead. Oh, and my new plan is to release the set in different packs. First the terrain. Then buildings. And so on. Thank you for your patience and your support. It really means a lot to me and is one of the things that makes me want to keep fighting. Trees!

Recently I've been working on the lanscape. A few new screenshots are available in the gallery. Some players have asked me if they can support the project economically and now they can. If you appreciate my work, you may now... Buy me a beer. :-)

Trains underway!

Recently I've been writing some code to make it easier to add new vehicles to the game. This will save a lot of time. So even though it may seem as there's very little progress at the moment, I can assure you that I'm working really hard. In the meantime, you can check out my new YouTube video , which shows the extra turning angles in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBinroFjza8
